The Battle of Love vs Lust

Bob Barnes from Sheridan House Family Ministries did his usual great job during his weekly men's bible study breakfast at First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale this AM from John 12:1-3 on "The Battle of Love vs. Lust". Love lives to give. Lust lives to get. The proper orientation of God, people and things for a Christian is to love God and thus use things to serve people. A person who lusts ignores God, and uses people to get the things he craves. A person who who uses people to fulfill his lusts is miserable. Love asks what I can do for you. Lust asks what can I get from you. How you handle things tells you a lot about your ability to love. For many. a relationship with Jesus is the first experience with real love. In this culture that uses people, we can love Him back by expressing His love onto the individuals Jesus places around us!
