COURAGE – If your politician doesn’t have it, don’t vote for him!

As we go to the ramparts to stem and then turn the tide of progressivism, our representatives will, most of all, need courage. Reversing the flood of entitlements has never significantly been done by any US Congress or President. To do so, our politicians will have to be willing to risk their jobs. It will take courage to do so!

Use these quotes in your communications if you think they help:

Don Quixote, de la Mancha 1605-1615: “One man scorned and covered with scars still strove with his last ounce of courage to reach the unreachable stars; and the world was better for this.”

Harriet Beecher Stowe: “All serious daring starts from within.”

Courage is just fear holding on a minute longer.” Unknown

Robert Louis Stevenson: “Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others.”

Amelia Earhart: “Courage is the price that Life exacts for granting peace.”

Confucius Analects: “To see what is right and not to do it, is want of courage.”

Anais Nin: “Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage.”

Peter McWilliams: “Come to the edge,' he said. They said, 'We are afraid.' 'Come to the edge,' he said. They came. He pushed them... And they flew.”

Andrew Jackson: “One man with courage makes a majority.”

Douglas MacArthur: “Last, but by no means least, courage—moral courage, the courage of one's convictions, the courage to see things through. The world ; is in a constant conspiracy against the brave. It's the age-old struggle--the roar of the crowd on one side and the voice of your; conscience on the other.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them.”

Winston Churchill: “Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all others.”

R. G. Ingersoll: “The greatest test of courage on the earth is to bear defeat without losing heart.”

Paul Richter: “A timid person is frightened before a danger, a coward during the time, and a courageous person afterwards.”

Earl Wilson: “Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death!”

Mark Twain: “It is curious—curious that physical courage should be so common in the world, and moral courage so rare.”

Adam Michnik: “Start doing the things you think should be done, and start being what you think society should become. Do you believe in free speech? Then speak freely. Do you love the truth? Then tell it. Do you believe in an open society? Then act in the open. Do you believe in a decent and humane society? Then behave decently and humanely.”

La Rochefoucauld: “Perfect courage means doing unwitnessed what we would be capable of with the world looking on.”
