They're Running Scared! Our Weekly Fort Lauderdale Tea Party Journal

We are patriots who want to protect the freedoms we have. We discourage party politics. Nobody organized us, gives us a dime, or urged us to get out there. We are the mob, the un-Americans, the deathers and the birthers, the demagogues, the astro-turfers, and all the rest of the names that some politicians are promoting for those who believe in the very American right to dissent.

How long will we be on that corner? As long as we have to!

Below are periodic reports and some pictures for our Weekly Fort Lauderdale Tea Parties that gather at the corner of Oakland Park Boulevard and Federal Highway every Saturday from 1-3 PM, rain or shine. Please join us, bringing, if you can, signs or flags or just yourselves.

 38th Weekly Tea Party - 11/14/09

Saturday, 11/14/09, evil walked in to the US’s only Weekly Tea Party. For 38 weeks straight we have been on our corner, lively, spiritedly, peacefully protesting the issues that are of utmost concern to us, individually and collectively as Americans.  We are made up of church-goers, moms, dads, kids, singles, grandparents, democrats, republicans, independents and on-and-on. We were attacked by criminal thugs at our +150 person rally which included a peaceful contingent from FLoridians for IMmigration ENforcement (FLIMEN)!!!
This image further portrays these thugs from ANSWERCoalition.org, a large but motley collection of which appears to be a pro-marxist, socialist, Palestinian, and Muslim concoction. Watch for them!

Join us any Saturday from 1-3 PM on the corner of Oakland Park/Federal in Fort Lauderdale!

32nd Weekly Tea Party - 9/26/2009

[The following letter and photo were sent to me by photographer friend, Mort Kuff, who came out to be with us on Saturday at the 32nd Every Week Fort Lauderdale Tea Party we hold at the corner of Oakland Park and Federal every Saturday from 1-3 PM. I am the guy on the right, a Marine Vietnam Veteran hoping to recover the spirit of hope and freedom we once had in this country]

John.

The photo I shot of you and Fred Perry began to take on a life of its own; it prompted me to write this piece and disseminate it. Thanks for all you do.

MORT

Attention:

President Obama, the President's Cabinet and all members of the administration including Czars and personal advisors; all Senators and Representatives in the U.S. Congress and their staffs; all Supreme Court Justices and their clerks; and all the burgeoning roster of Government career employees at all levels:

I call upon you to take a moment or two from your busy schedules of activities purportedly on behalf of the citizens of these United States, to look attentively at this photo. It was taken at the Northwest corner of the intersection of Oakland Park Blvd. & U.S.Route #1 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida at 1:54PM, Saturday, September 26, 2009.

While at first glance, it might seem to be just a casual photo of an innocuous encounter, when viewed in the context of the many 'newsworthy' items recently emanating from the speaker's rostrum at the United Nations - or for that matter, from the recent barrage of TV talk-show appearances and public speeches of Barack Hussein Obama - there is such significance represented here, that I felt it was worth my time to point out what at first, might not be obvious to such extremely busy, totally-dedicated, highly-compensated, duly-elected representatives of the American people - you good folks who are in fact, our employees.

What you see here, are two Americans who voluntarily came together at the same time, in the same place, to publicly express their patriotism and their loyalty to our nation. They showed up to lend their support to about two dozen others who appreared on the same corner, bearing home-made signs that expressed their individual, heartfelt concerns about taxation, the economy, health care and national security among other issues. They were demonstrating their concerns about where we are being driven as a nation and as a people, by a whilwind of precipitous actions taken unilaterally by this President and his minions - both duly-elected and mysteriously appointed.

Note the flags include a replica of the flag of the original thirteen colonies and the current flag of the United States ofAmerica. These two flags bracket this nation's proud history from its chaotic inception in 1776, until this very crucial moment in time. Also, take note of the flag bearing the logo of the United States Marine Corps, that proudly represented all branches of the nation's military armed forces, at this event.

The two gentlemen meeting here for the first time, took their positions on this busy street corner that is truly representative of the ramparts of freedom so sorely in need of defending - against the dangerous consequences of this President's effort to fundamentally change the foundation of our nation, while ignoring The Constitution and The Bill of Rights.

Does anyone notice the lack of guns, sticks or clubs? Does anyone appreciate the absence of amplified screeds from loudspeakers? Does anyone notice the absence of police, public officials, elected officials, political candidates or partisan party signs? The Mayor of Ft. Lauderdale did ride by on his bicycle, unaccompanied by even one black SUV with dark-tinted windows. He waved to us as he rode by.

There was a lot of horn-blowing from passing motorists in response to the signs and the flag-waving. A lot of 'thumbs-ups' given by people as they drove by this civil demonstration by civil civilians. There were of course the ever-present, obligatory middle fingers thrust into the air along with accompanying shouted obscenities that were strangely out of context, since they were apparently aimed at our former President, George W. Bush.

Of course, you have just this one photo and just my otherwise unsubstantiated word for all the foregoing - although if you are interested, I can show you several other still photos of people bearing signs. But, there is no amateur videotape or coverage by commercial TV stations. There were no reporters present, no celebrity guest appearances, no ugly, uncontrolled or boisterous confrontations - --just a couple dozen ordinary Americans getting together on a Saturday afternoon in one medium-sized Florida town to let their fellow citizens, their elected Government officials and the immediate world, know how they feel about what is happening in and to their country.

For the edification of our elected employees in Washington to whom we've specifically addessed this message, we wanted you to know that this was one of those pesky 'Tea Parties' that continually escape your attention - and escape the notice of the 'mainstream' media (what an obvious misnomer).

For your further information, this was the 32nd consecutive week that these and other concerned Americans have gathered at this particular intersection to peacefully demonstrate their concerns. This is the longest-running Tea Party in America.

Normally, I would have used a favorite analogy that likened such a small gathering to, 'a-tiny-acorn-that-grew-into-a-might-oak- tree' however, some recent developments that aired on Fox News Network seem to have tarnished the good name of the innocent acorn with a mantle of corruption and disrepute. Life can be so unfair.

Thanks for your attention. Now, you-all can get back to taxing & spending us-all, into oblivion.

28th Weekly Tea Party - 8/29/2009

Our 28th in-a-row Weekly Fort Lauderdale Tea Party, was held at the corner of Oakland/Federal Sats. from 1-3 PM, the only weekly in the USA.

Today we had a total of 34 patriots show up, signs and flags waving, thumbs up, voices roaring. The honking and cheering was the loudest and most frequent that it has ever been. You can feel the heart of this movement growing and pumping. At times today, spirits really soared. Most of all, you can see the parasitic lib/progs getting increasingly frustrated and scared. Their F-words and single digits as they go by seem to be the best they can muster. Our derisive laughter and failure to stoop to their levels enrages them. It's heart warming, inspiriting and more! Come and join us any Saturday!

We are patriots who want to protect the freedoms we have. We discourage party politics. Nobody organized us, gives us a dime, or urged us to get out there. We are the mob, the un-Americans, the deathers and the birthers, the demagogues, the astro-turfers, and all the rest of the names that our politicians are promoting for those who believe in the very American right to dissent.

Did you know our current $59 Trillion in unfunded liabilities is more than 20 times the Federal budget. We fund the budget by our annual Social security and income taxes. So, to cover the $59 Trillion in unfunded liabilities means EVERY taxpayer TODAY owes 20x their annual social security and income taxes just to get us back to even!

How is that not INSANE? Yet, who's talking about it, let alone doing something about it?

$38T of it is baby boomer medicare/medicaid. Obama tells us if we don't fix healthcare it will bankrupt the country. But, he doesn't tell us the magnitude of the problem as indicated by these numbers. Wonder why? For me, it's because he knows it doesn't take a whole lot of brains to know nothing he's proposing even begins to address the problem. How do YOU know when YOU'RE being manipulated?

  2. Hi...
Looks like the Tea Party Express surely knows a hell lot about protesting. I wonder when the Tea Party express will be there in San Antonio.

  3. The TP Express looks to be picking up steam. I agree with a post on www.ProudlyMadeInAmerica.com that some of the fringe elements, like neo-Nazis, need to be kept out of the rallies. Groups like that just give the mainstream media fodder to trivialize the message.

The TP Express is showing that by keeping out the fringe groups that distract from the message, they can get the message out. It is working. Keep it up.

We used to be on such good terms across he 49th but now it is changing. Keep up your good work. If all the like minded US citizens rise up they can end the destruction now before it is too late.
