Some times the potentiality of a coming horror jumps out so clearly that it is chilling and very, very scary.
This quote appeared in Obama Picks Liberal Who Hates Civil Religion To Run the Office of Faith-Based Community Initiatives today:
Secretary of State John Kerry announced Wednesday the formation of the Office of Faith-Based Community Initiatives, which will be headed by Shaun Casey, a former religion advisor to President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign and a liberal professor who last year touted the end of ‘civil religion’ in the United States.
“I, frankly, am glad American civil religion is dying,” Casey said at a discussion last year at the Center for American Progress focused on “God and Politics” in the last presidential election.
…Jean-Jacques Rousseau, a Swiss-French philosopher, is credited with coining the term “civil religion” in his 1762 book in his series “The Social Contract.” Rousseau described civil religion as the “moral and spiritual foundation of modern society.”
Not long ago I printed this quote from German Christian Martin Niemöller during the Nazification of German Christianity:
First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the socialists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Catholic.
Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.
That Nazification of German Christianity inundated German civil religion, one of the world's very strong centers of Christianity, very, very quickly. Within months churches featured posters of Hitler on their pulpits. Jesus disappeared. This happened with very little outcry. German Christianity has suffered ever since.
And now this horror is happening here.
Der Leader Obama doesn't have to go after communist, socialists, trade unionists, Jews, and Catholics. They already vote overwhelmingly for him. So he's coming for Christians who are the last religious bastion against his Godless statism.

Shaun Casey is just one more attack on people of faith. The real question isn’t how Obama could select Casey; it’s how any Christian could betray his own faith by continuing to support Obama.When you see the crosses coming down, the bibles disappearing, the 10 commandments barred from the public square... you should know you don't have too much time.
You'll know it's over when Obama's smug arrogance in a kingly pose is featured on church walls and pulpits.
