Rubio's Rubicon, Left's Game, Democrat Gun Rights, Devil & More

Sen. Marco Rubio's Tangled Web of Dishonest PC Spin: 
   "A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to."    So said British prison psychiatrist and social commentator Theodore Dalrymple. No better words could describe the current fad of calling illegal aliens "undocumented." 
   On that note, Senator Rubio is once again endearing himself to the left by adopting the PC terminology "undocumented." I asked Rubio's press secretary, Alex Conant, why the senator is using the left wing terminology "undocumented" instead of "illegal immigrants." Conant replied that Sen. Rubio "continues to use both terms interchangeably."
   The language issue remains critical. If we use euphemisms to describe people who have disrespected our sovereignty and broken our laws, then we guarantee more such behavior.  



How the Left Thinks: It's All a Game: 

Children play their games by assigning the parts among themselves and devising rules which all players must obey, no matter what.  However, it is not only children who play this way.  The entire liberal agenda is a gigantic game played by a set of rules that demand a mighty leap of faith from its adherents.  These rules, no matter how illogical or absurd, are to be obeyed unthinkingly and unquestioningly on pain of being disqualified and anathematized.  The choice is stark: blind obedience or ostracism; conform, or get the boot in the seat of the pants.  In short, a triumph of what George Orwell famously dubbed doublethink.

A pact with the devil in Boston:
   The Obama administration’s radical reinterpretation of the natural and constitutional right to remain silent is unprecedented, terrifying and disingenuous. Think about this: The governor of Massachusetts, the superintendent of the Massachusetts State Police, the mayor of Boston, the Boston police commissioner and the head of the Boston FBI office all proclaimed on Saturday morning that the danger had passed and that Boston and its suburbs could return to normal. Yet the attorney general in Washington told his FBI agents in Boston to disregard those officials and instead pretend that the public safety was still jeopardized and then expand a 10-second window to 72 hours.
   The Constitution was written to preserve freedom by restraining the government. The courts from time to time have required the government to respect the natural law, as well. But when the attorney general arbitrarily changes the law to suit the demands of the people when they are weeping, it fundamentally undermines our freedoms. And a pact with the devil is the most dangerous of all, because his appetite can never be sated.
