Yes, yes, I know I said I wasn't going to post a cartoon today, and I'm not necessarily changing the publishing schedule. It's just that I'm finding it pretty darn hard to sit on my hands when there is astoundingly stupid jackassery going on in Washington.
Case in point, Timothy Geithner - a man who can't even figure out his personal taxes (using a computer and TurboTax) - has just declared that rather than raise the debt ceiling or (heaven forbid!) stick to the debt ceiling, America should just throw out the debt ceiling and borrow money with no limits whatsoever. Because if you never stop borrowing, you never have to worry about where the money comes from to pay off your loans! Right? RIGHT...?!
And who's going to tell Geithner that he's crazy? The Democrats have shown that they have so little interest in sticking to budgets that they don't even propose them anymore. And Barack Obama, Geithner, Pelosi, and the rest of the usual suspects have so little understanding (or affection for) our economy that they're demanding another $1.6 trillion in new taxes on job creators.
Hope n' Change was pretty hard on the president's economy during his first term, but in complete fairness we should admit that it's now starting to look pretty darn good compared to what we expect for his second term.
