Conservative on Target! 10/18/12

Ladies and gentleman, the world's stupidest issue -- Democrats are trying to make an issue out of Mitt Romney's statement from Tuesday night's debate that he poured over a binder full of qualified women for jobs in his gubernatorial administration. TheDC's Alex Pappas reports: "Call it the battle of the binders. The race for the White House has been reduced to who has the bigger 'binder' problem. It all began with Democrats mocking Republican nominee Mitt Romney for recalling in Tuesday night’s debate that he had 'whole binders full of women' to consider for jobs while he was governor of Massachusetts ... Democrats made it clear they planned to use Romney’s quote to accuse him of being weak on women’s issues. 'We’re Gonna Talk Binders at 12:15 PM EDT' Democratic National Committee spokesman Brad Woodhouse wrote in an email to reporters about a Wednesday conference call."
Here's another category of people who probably shouldn't vote: people who believe that there is really a "war on women." [Click on the binder and examine it. I guess feeble prog women don’t want leaders cooperating with women’s rights organizations – or voting with their “smarts” rather than their “parts”. – JS]

Call It A Gift Or A Correction: It’s Coming!: The human characteristics of routine and rational discernment make up the moderate middle of the American electorate. Although they will readily give an underdog a chance, they also promptly recognize ineptitude and incompetence as easily as raindrops on a kitchen window in the face of sunshine. They cannot and will not ignore the obvious. Whether you call them swing voters or independents, they have too much common sense coupled with a simple understanding of how things are supposed to work to ignore the obvious.  They’re not stupid or lazy.  Fortunately for those among us who do not miss an opportunity to communicate our pointless opinions and expressions of disgust or outrage, this quiet majority is in control and will do what needs to be done just as sure as they would close an open front door on a cold and frosty night.

Mark Levin:This election is not about Mitt Romney, as much as I strongly, strongly support him in this election,” Levin said. “This election is about you. It’s about your children. It’s about the Constitution. It’s about your unalienable rights. We take this election personally. That’s what Charles [Krauthammer] doesn’t get. That’s what George [Will] doesn’t get. I’m not saying this to attack them or be critical of them. I’m saying open your eyes and look. It’s not the Nixon-Kennedy debates. Everything’s on the line, right now.”

"Many politicians and pundits claim that the credit crunch and high mortgage foreclosure rate is an example of market failure and want government to step in to bail out creditors and borrowers at the expense of taxpayers who prudently managed their affairs. These financial problems are not market failures but government failure. ... The credit crunch and foreclosure problems are failures of government policy." -- Walter E. Williams
