Conservative on Target! 3/6/12

Genius for Subject Changing: The Obama administration issues an edict regarding birth control that is 1) blatantly unconstitutional, 2) economically absurd, and 3) completely unmatched to any national need. What are they talking about? The "Republican war on women." [Worse yet. The inept GOP couldn’t seize the issue if they tried. – JS]

More Obama Bundlers Cash In With Massive Air Force Contract:
Ronald Ratner is the president and chief executive of Cleveland-based real estate giant Forest City Residential Group. His cousin, Deborah Ratner Salzberg, is the president of the company’s Washington D.C. office. Together, the two bundled between $200,000 and $500,000 for the 2008 Obama campaign. They’ve bundled another $200-500,000 for his reelection campaign as well, as of the fourth quarter of last year.
Since Obama took office, the Ratners have seen millions in federal taxpayer money funneled to Forest City. They are the latest in a long line of Obama supporters who have received taxpayer money, been appointed to federal posts, or enjoyed significant access to administration officials. HORRIBLE! We Can Kill in the Womb, So Why Not Out Of It?

In the most recent edition of the Journal of Medical Ethics, two ethicists argue that we ought to be able to kill our children after their birth, after we have gotten the chance to hold them in our arms and take family photos. Why?—For the simple reason that we are able to kill them before their birth via abortion.
In other words, they see the slippery slope that defenders of life have been presaging for years, but they’ve inverted it so that, in their minds, it’s a good thing. In their opinion, abortion has normalized the killing of our own children while they’re still inside the womb to such a degree that killing them outside the womb is “morally irrelevant.”

Disaster Relief Exemplifies Why Government Should Protect — Not Harm — Good Samaritans: Sadly, these are some of the very organizations that will suffer under Obamacare. In particular, Obamacare’s anti-conscience mandate will force insurance plans, including those carried by religious employers, to provide coverage for abortion-inducing drugs, contraceptives, and sterilization—even if such coverage violates their beliefs. If employers choose to drop insurance coverage or not to comply with the mandate, they will face steep fines.

One Judge Gets It Right: The good judge, Benson Everett Legg, ruled “A citizen may not be required to offer a ‘good and substantial reason’ why he should be permitted to exercise his [2nd amendment] rights, the right’s existence is all the reason he needs.” This is a refreshing change from the subjugation of rights to the expansion and intrusion of government into our lives – for our own good. It brings to mind C.S. Lewis thoughts on the subject, “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive”

And One Politicial Hack Gets It Wrong > DC Deputy Mayor: Dear Victims of Crime, Better You Are Beaten, Raped, Stolen From Than You Protect Yourself. Washington D.C.’s Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Justice wants you all to just stop whining about the rising crime in his fair city. He wants you to continue being a victim and like it. Not only that, but he thinks it’s a good thing that you should become a victim. Better that than protecting yourself, don’t you know?

OBAMA ALLY WON'T RELEASE ALINSKY TAPE:

Mainstream journalists have attempted to dismiss yesterday's column by Andrew Breitbart about the play by claiming that Obama had merely attended the production--a defense hinted at by Chicago Reader columnist Michael Miner's initial column.
However--as even Miner noted--Obama did not merely attend the play; he was featured on the poster and in the panel discussion that followed.
So, if the play’s so harmless, why are Obama’s allies hiding it?    Why not release the video tape?

Despite pledging on Sunday that he stands with Israel, President Obama yesterday again aired his differences with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and urged him not to turn to military strikes against Iran.

"Can you imagine working at the following Company? It has a little over 500
employees with the following statistics: 29 have been accused of spousal abuse.
7 have been arrested for fraud. 19 have been accused of writing bad checks. 117
have bankrupted at least two businesses. 3 have been arrested for assault. 71
cannot get a credit card due to bad credit. 14 have been arrested on
drug-related charges. 8 have been arrested for shoplifting. 21 are current
defendants in law suits. 84 were stopped for drunk driving in 1998 alone. Can
you guess which organization this is? Give up? It's the 535 members of your
United States Congress. The same group that perpetually cranks out hundreds
upon hundreds of new laws designed to keep the rest of us in line."
