WOW! The Catholic Church Has Launched A Fight Against Obama That's Unprecedented In American History: Put simply: There is simply no time in American history we can recall where nearly the entire body of American Catholic bishops and priests have united to speak against a sitting president by name, and promised civil disobedience. [Think there is any chance that our Evanglical leadership will join the fray. I am praying so! And maybe our military chaplains will enlist also?– JS]

Family Research Council Criticizes Ninth Circuit Ruling to Overthrow Definition of Marriage
   … the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, overturned California's Proposition 8, which defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman. FRC filed an amicus curiae ("friend of the court") brief in the case, now known as Perry v. Brown.
   Today's ruling by a three-judge panel upheld a lower court decision by now-retired federal Judge Vaughn Walker in August 2010. Judge Walker later admitted he is himself a homosexual and has had a long-term partner, meaning that he potentially stood to personally benefit from the legalization of same-sex "marriage."

   This isn’t being “soft on crime” or “indifferent to public safety.” It’s acknowledging that rehabilitation is not only possible, it will be rewarded. People — like Christians — who know what it is like to be forgiven should understand.

11-Year-Old Ex-Muslim Boy Clings to Christian Faith Despite Beatings: An 11-year-old former Muslim boy in Turkey named Hussein has remained strong in his Christian faith despite beatings, bullying and assaults, CBN News reports. Hussein accepted Christ at the age of 9 after his father -- once an Islamic scholar -- became a Christian and began taking his family to church.

Attacks Spark Revival in Nigeria: Increasing violence in Nigeria has strengthened the faith of local Christians, even sparking a revival at the Deeper Life Bible Church in Gombe, where nine Christians were killed in an attack on the church on Jan. 5, according to Voice of the Martyrs. During a funeral service for those killed, many accepted Jesus and many other believers rededicated their lives to Christ

Poll: Most Americans OK With Religious Groups in Public Schools: As the New York Department of Education prepares to evict more than 160 religious organizations from public schools on Feb. 12 to comply with a ban on churches in schools, a new LifeWay Research study shows that two-thirds of Americans are in favor of renting public school space to churches and other community groups, WORLD New York reports.
