Conservative on Target!

There are 2 editorials that are must-reads in today’s WSJ!

Big Labor's Yanqui Imperialism details Obama’s complete subjugation to the unions to the point that he will even enforce their wishes on our neighbors and allies.

Social Engineering in Suburbia exemplifies this administration’s intent to rule our counties by fiat as it tries, using incorrect data, to force housing
programs where they aren’t needed.

Obama Proposes New [AIFA] Czar: … in the American Jobs Act, Obama is proposing a new group of czars as a part of his "jobs" act-- the American Infrastructure Financing Authority (AIFA) czars.  President Obama’s newest czars will be given the authority to manage over a trillion dollars of federal funding for roads, bridges, buildings, waterways, dams and other infrastructure… Just at a time when our nation should be talking about cutting costs, Obama has put in motion the wheel of a phantasmagorically, bloated, spending project, that increases, phenomenally, the size of government,  duplicates existing governmental functions, escapes honest accountability, all while subordinating all contracting, development, and infrastructure programs to a new White House Czar.
The Fierce Moral Urgency of … Next Month: Barack Obama went to Congress eleven days ago and demanded that they pass his jobs bill immediately … seventeen times, in fact, during his speech to the joint session.  The White House insists it won’t negotiate on its terms, either.  Congress has had Obama’s jobs plan for a week now. So where does it stand? Understandably, the Republican House isn’t terribly excited about getting around to Obama’s retread of the 2009 stimulus. As Dick Durbin explained yesterday to CNN’s Candy Crowley, the Democratic Senate doesn’t seem to be in a rush to get to it, either… [This is so embarrassing to Obama that he sounds even more frantic. He’s now forced to run against his own party! – JS]
Obama going full populist with new budget proposals: Looks like Barack Obama’s first term as President has ended for all intents and purposes, and the Obama 2012 campaign has begun in earnest instead, according to the Washington PostObama’s new proposals on the federal deficit and jobs have gone all-in on taxes while leaving the biggest drivers of federal deficits mainly untouched.  In fact, despite repeatedly admitting this year that entitlement programs have to change, Obama has offered nothing more in his deficit-reduction package than rosy predictions of the impact of fighting waste, fraud, and abuse[Just more taxes and budget lies! – JS]
INSANITY! Despite the controversy surrounding bankrupt solar energy company Solyndra, the Obama Administration plans to finalize as many as 14 new loan guarantees for renewable energy companies this month, including nine for solar projects.
"Fear is the foundation of most governments; but it is so sordid and brutal a passion, and renders men in whose breasts it predominates so stupid and miserable, that Americans will not be likely to approve of any political institution which is founded on it." -- John Adams [What is entitlement dependency but fear of removal of institutional bribery? – JS]
