The Rasmussen Consumer Index, which measures the economic confidence of consumers on a daily basis, fell two-and-a-half points on Saturday to 68.6. That’s the lowest level of confidence measured since July 24, 2009. Consumer confidence is down two points from a week ago, six points from a month ago and eight points from three months ago. … Just 6% of consumers rate the economy as good or excellent while 60% say it’s in poor shape. Only 22% believe it’s getting better while 59% think it’s getting worse.
