Conservative on Target! Redistribution, Liners, Jesus & Socialism & More

imageObamBiden Liners: “There are some structural issues with our economy where a lot of businesses have learned to become much more efficient with a lot fewer workers.” [ATMs] “at a certain point you’ve made enough money” > “every single great idea that has marked the 21st century, the 20th century and the 19th century has required government vision and government incentive” [Biden]?

Pamela Geller > Tennessee Passes Worst Law Ever: "A new Tennessee law makes it a crime to 'transmit or display an image' online that is likely to 'frighten, intimidate or cause emotional distress' to someone who sees it. Violations can get you almost a year in jail time or up to $2,500 in fines." This legislation is a milestone in the history of free speech and free thought in the United States – yes, a milestone that Sayyid Qutb would love: a deathblow to free speech. You can be sure that among the first people who will try to capitalize upon this gross violation of the First Amendment will be the Islamic supremacist groups in the U.S. that are bent on silencing people who are telling the truth about Islam and jihad.

Our Moral Dilemma: French economist Frederic Bastiat (1801-1850) said, "Government is the great fiction through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else." That endeavor has plagued mankind throughout his history and has now reached a crisis stage in Western Europe and the United States, and the prospects for reversing it don't appear to be promising.

imageKeep Jesus Out of Your Socialism (Part 2): …Government programs can't separate the truly needy from the welfare cheats—but private Christian charities can. Private charities are far more effective than government at meeting needs, changing lives, eliminating fraud and waste, and dispensing compassion. Our stance as Christians should be pro-compassion, not pro-bureaucracy.
