The Miami Herald has an article today highlighting the fact that the Florida high-speed rail plan remains alive for Gov. Scott if the state has no risk!
The State’s risk should not be the only consideration. This state and the rest of the country need to quit spending any money - federal, state or local – that doesn’t need to be spent. We need not pander to local politicians who want to bring home this piece of pork for a project recognized as little more than a boondoggle!
This project has already been a exposed as a very high cost fiasco doomed to go the way the rest of the world’s high speed projects are going – quickly, expensively and straight to you know where.
So, please contact Gov. Scott today to complement Gov. Scott for his past stand in refusing the money and ask him to stick to his guns (metaphor intended).
