“SHAMEs”, “WHODATHUNKIT?”, “Fish Stories”, “Capitalism”, “Moocher-In-Chief” and more...

HALL OF SHAME! Denying our warriors absentee ballots! - Again, the DOJ is using its power to help elect Dems!
The Voting Section of the DOJ is in control of granting waivers. A few months ago, a senior official of the department informed an audience of state officials that the waiver provision was "ambiguous" and tipped his hand by indicating that the DOJ would be flexible regarding granting waivers.
In other words-wink, wink-states will not be sued for failure to send absentee ballots to our men and women in uniform. They can be disenfranchised again-with no penalties.
Military members tend to vote for Republicans.

"Economic Justice" as "Social Justice" - How BHO hides the fact that he is a redistributionist! Politically, the young Obama was sloppy. He wasn’t yet savvy enough to cloak his “economic justice” language in the more palatable jargon of “social justice.” Today, Obama knows better, slipping only rarely, as he did to “Joe the Plumber” in 2008. HALL OF SHAME! WHODATHUNKIT? Members of a liberal journalists email group attempted to control media coverage of Obama! Spencer Ackerman, then of the Washington Independent, now at Wired, urged fellow journalists to kill the story of Mr. Obama's ties to the controversial Revered Jeremiah Wright by going after some of his critics. "Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares—and call them racists," he urged. "What is necessary is to raise the cost on the right of going after the left. In other words, find a rightwinger's [sic] and smash it through a plate-glass window. Take a snapshot of the bleeding mess and send it out in a Christmas card to let the right know that it needs to live in a state of constant fear. Obviously I mean this rhetorically." More…

BHO's Economic Fish Stories - it is unfortunate when extreme exaggeration emanates from the WH: Mr. Obama's economic statements are increasingly divorced not only from competing viewpoints but from those of his own economic advisers. It is surprising how many numerically challenged pronouncements come from this most scripted and political of White Houses. One slip is eventually forgiven, but when a pattern emerges, no one believes it is an accident.

"Capitalism should not be condemned, since we haven’t had capitalism. A system
of capitalism presumes sound money, not fiat money manipulated by a central
bank. Capitalism cherishes voluntary contracts and interest rates that are
determined by savings, not credit creation by a central bank. It’s not
capitalism when the system is plagued with incomprehensible rules regarding
mergers, acquisitions, and stock sales, along with wage controls, price
controls, protectionism, corporate subsidies, international management of
trade, complex and punishing corporate taxes, privileged government contracts
to the military-industrial complex, and a foreign policy controlled by
corporate interests and overseas investments. Add to this centralized federal
mismanagement of farming, education, medicine, insurance, banking and welfare.
This is not capitalism!" -- Ron Paul

Obama > The Moocher-In-Chief: It's All About the Perks - President Obama, by contrast, perks for a living. And he's constantly shocked that those of us who do work expect others to work for a living, too…. That's why he sees no problem whatsoever in feasting on ice cream and lobster in Bar Harbor, while lecturing Republicans about their cruelty in holding up yet another extension of "unemployment benefits" (that phrase gets scare quotes once you've been on the unemployment rolls for two years). That's why Obama makes conspicuous consumption his lifestyle, even as he scoffs at the exploding national debt. He's enjoying the good life; why shouldn't you? He's not working; why should you? Let those benighted conservative businesspeople sweat it out -- President Obama is inviting you to a free taxpayer-funded vacation.
