YESSSS! Gallup: Conservatives at record levels
The number of Americans identifying themselves as conservative or very conservative stands at 42 percent according to new Gallup numbers.
That's compared to 35 percent who describes themselves as moderate and 20 percent who describe themselves as liberal. The results are based on eight Gallup surveys conducted over the past six months.
According to Gallup's Lydia Saad: "The 42% identifying as conservative represents a continuation of the slight but statistically significant edge conservatives achieved over moderates in 2009. Should that figure hold for all of 2010, it would represent the highest annual percentage identifying as conservative in Gallup's history of measuring ideology with this wording, dating to 1992."
Gallup also found that self-identified independents are slightly more likely to label themselves moderate than conservative-- 41 percent to 36 percent. Just 19 percent of independents consider themselves liberal.

Down the rabbit hole! The U.S. Department of Illegal Alien Labor
President Obama's Labor Secretary Hilda Solis is supposed to represent American workers. What you need to know is that this longtime open-borders sympathizer has always had a rather radical definition of "American." At a Latino voter registration project conference in Los Angeles many years ago, Solis asserted to thunderous applause, "We are all Americans, whether you are legalized or not."
That's right. The woman in charge of enforcing our employment laws doesn't give a hoot about our immigration laws -- or about the fundamental distinction between those who followed the rules in pursuit of the American dream and those who didn't. Read more about this stupidity!
Drilling Moratorium: Rather than 'WWJD?' BHO asks 'WWAD ('What Would Alinsky Do?')
Politico reports that the drilling companies who secured the court order blocking the moratorium say the administration indeed is going to defy the court order. I'm quite sure that Alinsky would applaud this move: If at first you don't succeed through proper legal channels, proceed anyway, because nothing is more important than the radical ends you seek, including the means that must be trampled in the process.
Of course, shrewd Alinskyites like Obama will always have a plausible excuse for their deceitful tactics. In this case, they are alleging newly discovered facts. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said he intends to reimpose the drilling moratorium based on information that wasn't "fully developed" in May, when the six-month moratorium was imposed. INCREDIBLE! WH Misses Deadline for Creating High Risk Pools which are also underfunded $5B - $10B!
It gets worse. Not only has the secretary failed to meet the high-risk pool deadline, but earlier this week the Congressional Budget Office found that the pools will be underfunded by $5 billion to $10 billion. This blunder could result in 500,000 individuals with pre-existing conditions not receiving the coverage they were promised.
According to the White House, as many as 12 million people are currently denied coverage due to pre-existing conditions. In its current design, the poorly-designed federal high-risk pool program will provide coverage to just a small fraction of these people. Richard Foster, Medicare’s chief actuary, claims it will be able to do so for only one or two years before exhausting its allocated funding. Armed with this information, at least 19 states are declining these new high-risk pools…
And all the while, it’s becomes more and more clear that Americans would have been better off had Obamacare never passed. Read more…

1. Slow the growth of the welfare state.
2. Promote personal responsibility and work.
3. Provide a portion of welfare assistance as loans rather than as grants.
4. End the welfare marriage penalty and encouraging marriage in low-income communities.
