Colonel Allen West, an expert on jihad and Islam and a former civilian advisor to the Afghan Army, testifies on a recent panel about jihad, “You must realize that this is not a religion that you are fighting against. You are fighting against a theo-political belief system and construct.” Mr. West goes on to explain that if you study the Koran, the Sura, and the Hadith closely “then you can really understand that this is not a perversion. They are doing exactly what this books says.”
