America’s Founding Fathers had their priorities in order when they framed up the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
They prioritized the most important amendments, putting the fundamental freedom of speech in the top position.
Right after it, the founding fathers put the right of the people to keep and bear arms in the Second Amendment.
In the decades since, from time to time, some citizens have questioned the logic in allowing common citizens to bear arms.
The Second Amendment, it seems, is almost constantly under fire by liberals who feel gun control would curb crime and limit accidental shootings.
Their approach, however, is misguided in that it’s only as effective as the people who abide by laws in the first place.
More restrictive gun control laws would only curtail ownership by non-criminals.
The criminal element is going to either hold on to the firearms already on the streets, or they’ll steal more.
Gun control laws generally miss the mark.
Gun ownership is a founding principle in our country.
We’re of the belief that less restrictive gun laws would actually lower crime by putting more fear in a criminal’s mind.
By their nature, most criminals are cowards. They do not prey on the strong — and armed. They prey on the weak.
We hope the Second Amendment stays strong for decades to come.
