Principled Politics – 11/21/09

Obama Union Rules - A federal agency rips up 75 years of labor policy. [Must Read! A proposed rule will allow unionization by vote of the majority of worker voters, not by a majority of workers!]

Obama's Indecision by Ken Blackwell at TownHall:
"Cost of indecision about Afghanistan is mounting." That's not a headline on Townhall.com. It's the title of a column by the dean of liberal Washington pundits, David Broder. [Warriors are dying & being demoralized by what the WH calls a process.]

"The Death of Conservatism": A Premature Burial by Rich Tucker at TownHall - It must be difficult to work at The New York Times, surrounded every day by true believers in conservative ideals….In reality, conservatives are the most polite protesters in memory. And as far as revolutions go, the American Revolution was explicitly about escaping an out-of-touch, overbearing government that wanted to tax Americans without listening to them. … Just watch. Far from being dead, conservatism will eventually lead our country back to the ideals laid out by the ultimate conservatives -- our Founding Fathers.

HALL OF SHAME! Note the names of 10 GOP Sens. who voted to confirm Abortion Activist Judge Hamilton: http://ow.ly/Ejrc

Health Care Payola - Harry Reid is passing out goodies in hopes of garnering the 60 votes he needs. … Republicans had the option of staying on the floor and having Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma and others read the bill, a process that would take at least two days. They opted for a less strenuous path that will allow them to spend plenty of time at home during the Thanksgiving holiday. "Republican members oppose the bill, but they don't appear willing to stay up nights arguing against it," one former Hill staffer told me.
