Michelle Malkin has been spotlighting various members of the speech-stifling “media justice” mob over the past few weeks (here and here).They are Marxist-inspired activists seeking to crack down on conservative political speech under the guise of combating “hate” and crusading for “diversity.” Remember:
“Social justice” = redistribution of wealth and economic “rights.”

These days, you just never know when you may be required to protect yourself or someone close to you. Long ago I decided I’d rather carry a weapon I’ll (hopefully) never use than someday need the weapon I decided not to carry. However, my advice to anyone who is considering the use of a firearm - or any potentially deadly weapon - is to be ABSOLUTELY certain you’ve made the mental commitment to use that weapon if and when the time comes. A Jill Stanek article this morning titled, "Breaking News: New phony healthcare amendment may peel House pro-life Dems", says: "Democrats are close to finalizing an abortion compromise that would hopefully draw enough moderate anti-abortion Democrats to mitigate a threat from Rep. Bart Stupak, D-MI, to block the bill from coming to the floor....THIS IS A PHONY...." According to the NRLC, If that language is added to HR 3962: (1) the new federal government insurance program, the "public option," would still be explicitly authorized to pay for all elective abortions by language on page 110 of the bill; and (2) the federal premium subsidies ("affordability credits") could still be used to purchase private health plans that cover elective abortion."

Candidates imposed from above by party bosses are liable to be rejected in an environment in which trust in government, according to a Wall Street Journal-NBC News poll this week, is at a 12-year low. It is, moreover, self-defeating to have a broad church that admits anyone no matter what their beliefs. The message Republican activists have sent from the 23rd is that abandoning conservative principles and going Obama-lite is no way to win back the White House.
