Conservative on Target! 11/6/12

Obama’s Reelected Without a Mandate of Any Sort! I don’t have a whole lot to say about this right now. What I do think is that we just had 1 race who voted for color & stuff, 1 that voted for immigration & stuff, and 1 that voted for issues and stuff. If the conservative movement doesn’t do a better job of pulling all 3 races together with a common set of cultural values, we are doomed to a progressive and eventually failed state with no stuff, to having been the last of the truly free!

Media malpractice -- Much of the press have embarrassed themselves and their news organizations will pay the price, opine TheDC's Tucker Carlson and Neil Patel:
"The point is that many in the press are every bit as corrupt as conservatives have accused them of being. The good news is, it’s almost over. The broadcast networks, the big daily newspapers, the newsweeklies — they’re done. It’s only a matter of time, and everyone who works there knows it. That may be why so many of them seem tapped out, lazy and enervated, unwilling to stray from the same tired story lines. Some days they seem engaged only on Twitter, where they spend hours preening for one another and sneering at outsiders. By the next presidential cycle most of these people will be gone. They’ll have moved on to academia or think tanks or Democratic senate campaigns, or wherever aging hacks go when their union contracts finally, inevitably get voided. They’ll be replaced by a vibrant digital marketplace filled with hungry young reporters who care more about breaking stories than maintaining access to some politician or regulator."

I guess we didn’t do enough of any of it. I hope we learned our lesson!

There is nothing about a Barack Obama win
that will represent the end of America. Our founding fathers made it so. There is nothing about a Mitt Romney win that will represent the final victory in all of challenges. Our challenges are primarily cultural. From my perspective, we need a Romney win because in the short term he can improve the situation, and Barack Obama can and will make it worse. But no, I am not willing to say either outcome would usher in the second coming. History has taught us better.

"You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him." -- James D. Miles
