I applaud the sentiments of the post below but want to keep reminding all of us that the Tea Party is not a monolith. We are a whole bunch of local organizations that prize our freedom and our right to do on the local level what is necessary for the success of this movement. We need structural change that is going to take years and that will have to come from the bottom up.
So we are out there organizing. Increasingly we focus on school boards, local commissions and the rest of the relatively less glamorous grassroots needs! From this will come the change that will resurrect us.
The only thing that is monolithic about the Tea Party is that it is truly a mass swell of We The People.
From Tea Party Ted Cruz Victory Scares Dems…and Some Republicans:
The Left was desperately hoping after 2010 (and desperately trying to make America believe) the Tea Party was a flash in the pan that was over after 2010. What they fail to realize (or refuse to acknowledge) is that the Tea Party was just getting warmed up on 2010. We’ve moved on from the large nationwide rallies in thousands of communities across America; most of those Tea Party patriots are now busy behind the scenes backing–with dollars and volunteer time–conservative candidates who believe in America, the U.S. Constitution and the limited government it established.
We won’t win every battle (no movement ever does), and we have a long, hard road ahead of us in removing from power the socialists in the Democrat Party as well as the ones in the Republican Party who are more interested in being the ones who get to divide the spoils than in returning our nation to constitutional government.
But we’re in it for the long haul. America is too precious to stand by and allow socialists to seize and destroy it.
God bless America and forgive us for taking this long to protect what You have so freely given us!
