The political home sales shuffle didn’t work and housing is really in trouble!

This graph would indicate that government incentives falsely widened the gap between new and existing home sales. It might also indicate that our politicians were getting more donations from new home sellers than realtors. Or it might just be the “Law of Unintended Consequences? Either way, statist intervention, as it normally will, backfired.
