Conservative on Target! Power, Taxes, Capitalism, No Confidence, Wasserman-Schultz

imageDon’t have a job? Obama thinks you’re a joke!: During a meeting with his Jobs and Competitiveness Council—a group of CEOs the President created to give him advice on the economy—conversation turned to Obama's $787 billion stimulus that promised to "create or save" 3.5 million new jobs by 2011 by pumping money into "shovel ready" jobs. Confronting the reality that his stimulus failed, the President quipped, "Shovel-ready was not as shovel-ready as we expected." The council, led by GE's Jeffrey Immelt, burst into laughter.

“It would be nice to think that power in our nation is held by omniscient, God-fearing men and women, whose priority was the pursuit of truth and the good. … But, even the most idealistic among us understand this is not realistic and that our only possible protection from the many Anthony Weiners is limiting the power of government.” Star Parker

imageUseful Idiot Watch! > “We were able to, under President Obama's leadership, turn this economy around." Debbie Wasserman Schultz > Republicans should welcome Wasserman Schultz's framing.  If Democrats would like to stake their collective 2012 fate on the premise that their effective, well-conceived policies have "turned the economy around," they should have at it.  If that's the strategy, and barring a significant, unforseen economic turnarouund, the Good Ship Democrat -- with Debbie Wasserman Schultz's steady hand on the tiller -- will surely run aground.

So, what does the arrogant and obnoxious DNC Chair drive? A 2010 Infiniti FX35 – a Japanese auto!

Obama’s Economic Team Declares No Confidence in Policies: But make no mistake, the Obama’s Economic Policy is a shambles and the mass defection of all of his economic policy advisors is sending Americans a clear message of the chaos within the White House. Obama has churned through three different economic advisors in a short period of time and likely will burn through a few more. (During Reagan’s 8 years in office, he had a total of three.)

Quote liberal hero Karl Marx: "There is only one way to kill capitalism—by taxes, taxes, and more taxes."

"[T]he power system continues only as long as individuals try to get something for nothing. The day when a majority of individuals declares or acts as if it wants nothing from the government, declares that it will look after its own welfare and interests, then on that day the power elites are doomed."
-- Anthony Sutton
