Quips, Quotes and Tweets–9/10/10

Is Obama appointing "useful idiots" on purpose? Hey, Maybe Another Professor Can Save the Economy!: President Obama is really thinking outside-the-box on his choice to replace Christina Romer: A liberal from Chicago who has spent his entire life in academia and working for Obama (pardon the redundancies) — who woulda thunk it? … Feel that economy turning around? Me neither.

If you still don't believe that Obama is a George Soros puppet read "The Obama-Soros Connection":
In December 2006, as Obama was contemplating a run for the White House, George Soros and Barack Obama met to discuss the young senator’s political ambitions. In a matter of a few weeks, on January 16, 2007, Obama announced he was establishing a presidential exploratory committee although, at that point, he’d logged a total of only 143 days in service as a U.S. senator. “I recognize that there is a certain presumptuousness in this, a certain audacity to this announcement,” Obama would concede.
Literally hours after the announcement, Soros sent Obama the maximum individual contribution allowed by campaign finance law. Later that week, Soros announced that he would be supporting the candidacy of Barack Obama instead of Hillary Clinton, the candidate he’d previously supported. In an interview he conducted with Judy Woodruff in May, 2008, Soros was prophetic, gushing “Obama has the charisma and the vision to radically reorient America in the world,” and added “this emphasis on experience is way overdone.” Read it all…

Obama Inches U.S Toward Debt Crisis, or Bankruptcy:
As Barack Obama held his first press conference in months to promote his new $50 billion economic payback to unions, it bears reading a little-known reports from the Congressional Budget Office admitting out-of-control spending is leading us perilously close to a Greek-style meltdown. CNSNews.com has uncovered an obscure CBO report from July that states, “Combined with an unfavorable long-term budget outlook,” a double dip recession “would increase the probability of a fiscal crisis for the United States.” (Read the whole report here.)…
Obama will not and cannot make the changes needed. He is constitutionally incapable of clear economic thinking, and it appears he will not fake right with any structural change even out of craven political expediency. It seems America’s best hope lies in bringing Ronald Reagan’s wisdom up-to-date: “A recession is when your neighbor loses his job. A depression is when you lose yours. And recovery is when Barack Obama loses his.” Read it all…

The eternal flame of Muslim outrage was lit a long, long time ago by far less than a burned Koran:
Shhhhhhh, we're told. Don't protest the Ground Zero mosque. Don't burn a Koran. It'll imperil the troops. It'll inflame tensions. The "Muslim world" will "explode" if it does not get its way, warns sharia-peddling imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. Pardon my national security-threatening impudence, but when is the "Muslim world" not ready to "explode"?
At the risk of provoking the ever-volatile Religion of Perpetual Outrage, let us count the little-noticed and forgotten ways. DEMONIZATION Watch! NAACP Head Can’t Cite Actual Tea Party Racism: Last night, the NAACP‘s Hilary Shelton appeared on O’Reilly to talk about its new website designed to track tea party racism, and asked that the party repudiate any racism by rally attendees. But the problem, as O’Reilly pointed out, is that the party had already done that. Still, Shelton claimed that racism continues. But when pressed for an example, he admitted “the closest things we’ve seen so far is we saw a t-shirt at one the rallies that said something really problematic.” What did it say? Shelton wouldn’t elaborate. [ The more these idiots try to demonize, the more it backfires! – JS ]

"Posterity -- you will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom.
I hope you will make good use of it." -- John Quincy Adams [ Posterity, for my generation, some of the cost was +50,000 US warrior lives lost in Viet Nam! – JS ]

“I have never heard anything about the resolutions of the apostles, but a good deal about their acts.” - Mann, Horace

The following is #1 one of 50 mind blowing facts about modern America that our Founding Fathers never would have believed:

#1 In 2010, not only does the United States have a central bank, but it also runs our economy and issues all of our currency.  The Federal Reserve has devalued the U.S. dollar by over 95 percent since 1913 and it has been used to create the biggest mountain of government debt in the history of the world.
