Conservative on Target! 7/22/12

It saddens me that twelve people got killed by evil in Aurora but what disgusts me is that approximately 3,000 babies are killed every day in the USA by abortion. Where is the maddening hue and outcry for these victims who never lived long enough to face their particular evil?

But, just for the record, I did “invest in roads and bridges,” and so did you. In fact, every dime in those roads and bridges comes from taxpayers, because government doesn’t have any money except for what it takes from the citizenry. And the more successful you are, the more you pay for those roads and bridges.

OBAMA ADMIN STONEWALLING PUBLIC ON IMMIGRATION STATUS OF PRESIDENT'S UNCLE: Judicial Watch obtained and published internal emails from senior Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials that showed President Barack Obama’s uncle, Onyango Obama, received a deportation stay. In addition, the e-mails showed ICE officials deliberately stonewalled and misled reporters, such as those from the Boston Globe, and possibly Congressional officials as well on uncle Onyango’s immigration status, and gave Obama’s uncle favorable treatment. After these e-mails were published, Judicial Watch again pressed the Obama administration about the status of uncle Onyango’s case and were again stonewalled
RINO Watch! Solyndra Republicans, Why the GOP Cannot be Trusted: The three Republicans hoping to re-open the corporate welfare spigot are Joe Barton (Texas), Michael Burgess (Texas), and Phil Gingrey (Georgia).
So, as we can see here, there is a large and powerful block of the GOP that is fully in support of the sort of disgusting, un-American waste, and pork barrel spending that results in such programs as the “loan guarantees” that sent millions of U.S. tax dollars into the black hole that is Solyndra — a company that will never pay back the so-called loans afforded it by Democrats wishing to help Obama campaign contributors.
This is why the GOP cannot be fully trusted. The party is only nominally the fiscally responsible party, but not a party that is wholly dedicated to that goal. Certainly there are no Democrats that are for fiscal responsibility, but unfortunately there are too many Republicans that are just like the socialist, big-government, nanny state-loving Democrats.
Hope & Change™ update: Poverty expected to reach levels not seen since mid-1960′s: Census figures for 2011 will be released this fall in the weeks ahead of the November elections. The Associated Press surveyed more than a dozen economists, think tanks and academics, both nonpartisan and those with known liberal or conservative leanings, and found a broad consensus: The official poverty rate will rise from 15.1 percent in 2010, climbing as high as 15.7 percent. Several predicted a more modest gain, but even a 0.1 percentage point increase would put poverty at the highest since 1965.
Tom Blumer at Newsbusters questions the timing of the AP’s story so far in advance of the release of the Census report. Could it be to soften the blow in case the Census report comes out in October? Say it ain’t so…
