We are already a highly progressive (shudder) tax system. The left’s continuing ability to take our eyes off that fact contributes to the statist grab that a desperate left makes as it goes down the drain. Even those in the bottom 50% understand that their goal is to make it to the point that they have to pay a lot of taxes. Most of us are smart enough to know that pandering entitlements will fail!
